Privacy Policy.

This privacy policy is in three parts.

Part 1 (for Clients):
With the introduction of the EU General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR), which became effective on 25 May 2018, and new Data Protection Laws to replace the Data Protection Act 1998 (together “Data Protection Legislation”), we are required to update the data protection references in our terms of business. For individual clients, we also provide certain details regarding Forge and the collection and use of your personal data. This is set out in more detail below.

This part outlines the practices we follow to respect the privacy of all visitors, specifically regarding information collected via our website.

Part 1: Your Rights

If at any point you believe the information we process about you is incorrect, you can request to see this information and even have it corrected or deleted. If you wish to raise a complaint about how we have handled your personal data, you can contact our Data Compliance Officer who will investigate the matter.

If you are not satisfied with our response, or believe we are processing your personal data unlawfully, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

Unless otherwise agreed with you, we will only collect basic personal data. We may also need to hold ‘sensitive personal data’ to deliver our services as effectively as possible. Basic data includes your name, contact details, email address, and job title. Sensitive data may include information such as race or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious beliefs, health information, or criminal records.

We will only collect "sensitive personal data" if you enrol for one of our courses, and we will seek your consent during the enrolment process.

Your Rights Under the Law:

Data Collection

We collect only the personal data needed to provide you with our services and to fulfil our legal and contractual obligations. Without this data, we may be unable to provide the services requested.

Use of Data

All personal data will be processed by Forge staff. No third parties will have access unless there is a legal requirement to do so. The legal bases for processing include:

  • Compliance with legal obligations

  • Fulfilment of contractual obligations

  • Legitimate interest (e.g. sharing relevant course updates or service information)

Where required, we will always seek your consent for additional uses of your data.

We take all reasonable steps to ensure your data is stored securely.

Data Retention

We will retain personal data for up to 6 years unless legally required to hold it longer (e.g., up to 20 years in the US or Australia). If you've consented to receive marketing information, we will retain your contact details until you opt out.

Sharing Your Data

We only share your data with third parties when necessary, such as:

  • Agents, contractors, or suppliers (e.g. sending newsletters, maintaining databases)

  • Third-party platforms supporting our services

  • Legal or regulatory authorities if required

We never sell or distribute personal data for commercial purposes.

We collect personally identifiable information voluntarily provided by visitors, such as:

This data is typically collected to help you enrol in a course or express interest in our offerings.

We do not collect excessive or irrelevant information. If you believe we have done so, please contact us.

Website Data Use

The data collected is used internally to respond to your inquiries or manage your enrolment. It is not shared with others for unrelated purposes unless stated in this policy or otherwise communicated.

We will never collect sensitive information from our website unless legally required for enrolment, insurance, or recruitment purposes.

Part 3: Third Parties

We only share data with third parties when:

  • You explicitly request it

  • Required to fulfil a service (e.g. event bookings)

  • Legally obligated to do so

  • Required to meet your request

We may share data with:

  • Government or regulatory bodies in the UK, US, or Australia

  • Trusted service providers who support our operations

Forge does not sell or compile user data for third-party marketing purposes.
