Funding assistance.

Forge is a new programme, and we’re actively exploring ways to make it more accessible by subsidising and supporting places.

Funding Guide

To help applicants, we’ve created a Funding Guide with practical ideas for approaching trusts, businesses, workplaces, and even friends and family, along with adaptable sample letters.

Funding Guide

LICCC/Forge Bursary Fund

We’re thrilled to be in partnership with LICCC who have established the LICCC/Forge Bursary Fund, which is supported by the D’Oyly Carte Charitable Trust. This new initiative is designed to widen access to high-level conductor training and support the next generation of choral leaders across the UK.

The fund provides up to £1,500 toward the cost of joining Forge’s 30-week online conductor training programme. The bursary exists to ensure that outstanding conductors living or studying in the UK can take up their place, regardless of financial circumstance.

Awards are made on the basis of financial need and artistic potential, and applications are accepted on a rolling basis for all 2026 Forge courses. Early applications are encouraged, as funding is limited.

If you have already applied and been accepted on any of the 2026 Forge courses and would like to apply for a bursary, click the button below which will take you to the online application.
