Throughout the course, each student will submit three rehearsal videos of themselves conducting their choir. Each video then becomes the centre of a rehearsal review session, where clips are explored together with the whole cohort - inviting feedback, questions, and contributions.

Throughout the course, our mentor team will deliver seminars on everything from technique and rehearsal skills to personal leadership, vocal pedagogy, and even business development, building your skillset as a freelance professional. These sessions are your chance to learn from the whole mentor team, not just your principal mentor, and you will walk away with practical tools to build your career and achieve your goals.

Alongside group learning, every student will receive a series of one-to-one conducting lessons with their principal mentor. These private sessions are your opportunity to shape your learning - to ask the questions that matter most to you and explore challenges openly, away from your peers. They’re a space to focus entirely on your development and to refine the skills that matter most to you as a conductor.

Each week, there will be dedicated time for an open conversation, called The Huddle, giving everyone a chance to connect, reflect, and share experiences from the course. This space is all about mutual support - whether you're celebrating a breakthrough or navigating a challenge. It's a chance to talk honestly, build community, and remind each other you're not in this alone.

Although you’ll benefit from seminars and input from the full mentor team, you’ll also be assigned a dedicated principal mentor for the duration of the course. Carefully selected by the course directors based on your interests and the mentor’s expertise, this one-to-one relationship is designed to give you personalised support throughout your journey. Your principal mentor will lead your rehearsal analysis sessions and be available via email to offer feedback, encouragement, and advice.
